The tempest 4x4 MPV features advanced ballistic and blast resistant armour. The vehicle boasts an outstanding occupant survival rate. It is built to similar specifications as the MRAP CAT 1 Cougar - as can be seen from its family lineage.
Used in Iraq and Afghanistan where they have been able to withstand sustained IED/Landmine attacks. It has been designed with survivability as it's main focus, able to drive into danger, receive damage and return to service within hours.
With a crew of 2 and able to comfortably carry from 3-6 personnel (depending on role - Route proving or CASEVAC)
Combat weight of 15,422kg and a payload capability of 2268kg - this is ideal for multi roles where a small, dedicated fleet is required.
